Deer Leap Overlook

The trailhead is located in the Long Trail Inn parking lot. You can park across the road in the Sherburne Pass Trail parking lot if none is available at the Inn side. The trail begins rocky and muddy with a gradual incline. At 0.4 miles, you'll come to the Sherburne Pass Trail and Appalachian Trail Junction. Continue left at the junction towards Deer Leap Overlook. Shortly after, you'll encounter another junction for the Appalachian and Deer Leap Mountain Trail. Continue on the Deer Leap Mountain Trail. After the junction, the trail begins to level out and heads down across a series of duckboards and rooted ground.At 0.8 miles, you'll reach the last junction for Deer Leap Mountain Trail and Deer Leap Overlook Trail. Continue left on Deer Leap Overlook Trail. This trail will lead you to Deer Leap Overlook.At one mile, you have reached Deer Leap Overlook. Once you are done enjoying the views, simply head back the way you came.
