Trail Overview
Old Grave Road - FS 2317 begins at the west intersection of County Road T, just south of the bridge over the Oconto River near the Barrier Free dispersed campsites. The road begins as a smooth gravel surface capable of accommodating most vehicles and trailers. After the first mile, the route narrows into a dense forest two-track trail through a blend of coniferous and deciduous trees, continuing for another mile before ending at a dead end. This second section consists of packed dirt with low-hanging branches and scattered potholes. Towed trailers are not recommended on this route. Cell service along the entire route is minimal, so downloading offline maps prior to travel is recommended.
Difficulty
Minor ruts and small exposed stones. The beginning half of the road is gravel, with a few small ruts near the entrance to the second section. The second section is a narrow track with some minor mud ruts.
