Trail Overview
Goose Creek Road - FS 2367 runs from FS 2136 to FS 2131. This trail is wide enough for two vehicles for its entire length and is composed entirely of gravel. The southern portion of the trail runs along the edge of the Rat River. This creates a very scenic drive due to the trail's elevation above the river valley. There are several small dispersed camping spots located along this section of trail that could fit one to two full-size rigs. As the trail progresses, it begins to straighten out and stays that way for the remainder of the trail. The scenery around the trail is dominated by mature hardwoods. There is limited undergrowth, which helps to promote views into the forest and some of the wildlife within. Cell service in this area is okay but can be spotty at times. Traveling with downloaded maps is recommended, especially for those looking to explore further.
Difficulty
This trail can be completed by all experience levels of riders. The trail is well-maintained by the local towns. Due to the loose gravel, certain parts of the trail can easily push vehicles around during times of extreme drought. In addition, this can also create a considerable amount of dust. The trail has great visibility throughout, as well as semi-maintained ditch lines that could be used to pull off.
