Trail Overview
FS 2746 is a dense, overgrown two-track trail that runs from Goose Creek Road - FS 2357 to its intersection with FS 2752. This trail has a dirt/ rock base and is surrounded by dense and lush forest. There are several small clearings in the trail that open up into grassy meadows; these are great areas to see wildlife. Outside of the meadows, the trail is surrounded by dense and overgrown forest. Larger rigs will struggle to navigate through this trail without receiving some moderate to severe paint scratches. The trail has a couple of moderate hill climbs, as well as several low-lying sections that will be filled with water in wet years. The southern end of the trail is even more substantially overgrown than the northern half. For individuals looking to brave the overgrowth, this trail will reward them with abundant wildlife sightings, as well as peace in what could be several nice dispersed camping locations.
Cell service in this area is very limited, and traveling with downloaded maps is recommended.
Difficulty
This trail can be completed by all levels of experience; the largest obstacle comes in the form of the overgrowth around the trail, as well as blind spots created by this overgrowth. Pinstriping on vehicles is likely, and larger rigs should expect some more serious scratches.
