Trail Overview
This is a dirt-based road on State of Washington land in the Wenas unit. A Discover Pass is required to enjoy this area, and there is a Winter closure from December to April. The trail has a steady incline/decline depending on your route of travel, of around 1,300 feet in elevation. The trail is extremely bumpy with rock garden sections, some small rock steps, and ruts and washouts up to a foot deep. The trail is slightly off-camber in some areas, but you will have an amazing view of the ridges and valley of the high desert, and camping is allowed along this entire trail for up to 21 days. The terrain is rough, and there are no amenities or cell service, so travel prepared with all needed supplies as you are approximately 50 minutes from the nearest supplies and services. A high clearance 4x4 is recommended for this trail.
