Trail Overview
Price Lake Road is an easy, single-vehicle-width hardpack route traveling through dense forest near Lake Cushman. Access from North Lake Cushman Road is currently blocked by constructed dirt mounds and large boulders, so vehicles should not attempt to enter from that end. The road itself consists primarily of firm hardpack dirt with potholes scattered throughout, creating occasional bumps but no significant technical obstacles. Dense trees line both sides of the route, with numerous smaller spur roads branching from the main road along the way. Farther along, the forest eventually opens beneath a powerline corridor, providing a noticeable change in scenery. Gates are located at both ends of Price Lake Road, and access conditions may change, so travelers should observe all posted closures and restrictions encountered during their visit.
Difficulty
Firm hardpack with scattered potholes but no significant rocks, deep ruts, ledges, steep technical climbs, or water crossings. The dirt mounds, boulders, and gates are access restrictions rather than technical obstacles and should not be bypassed.
