Trail Overview
Pa-H-1000 is a 3.8-mile point-to-point trail in the Foothills ORV system that follows a single-lane gravel road connecting several trails throughout the network. Although it is physically a gravel road, the route is gated at its entrance and is only accessible to ATVs and dirt bikes via the surrounding trail system. The surface is primarily hard-packed gravel with a layer of loose, marbly rock that can reduce traction, particularly in corners. Pa-H-1000 serves primarily as a transit route between riding areas rather than a destination trail. A Discover Pass is required for recreation and parking within the Foothills ORV system.
Difficulty
Pa-H-1000 is rated Easy. The trail is wide with good visibility and contains no significant obstacles. Riders should be aware of the loose, marbly gravel, which can cause reduced traction during acceleration, braking, and cornering, but otherwise the route is straightforward and suitable for most ATV and dirt bike riders.
