Trail Overview

North Fork Spur Road is a 0.6-mile out-and-back single-lane route that climbs to a summit viewpoint along the top of a ridgeline. The trail is rocky throughout, with a few small rock steps along the climb. It ends just past the summit, where two established fire rings and a viewpoint provide a place to stop. North Fork Spur Road is open year-round and requires a Discovery Pass for access.

Difficulty

North Fork Spur Road is best suited for high-clearance vehicles, as the rocky surface and small rock steps can make travel difficult for low-clearance vehicles. The primary challenges include uneven terrain and minor obstacles along the climb to the summit. Weather conditions, such as rain, can increase difficulty, particularly when the surface becomes slick.
