Trail Overview
Moses Carr Road is a 6.1-mile point-to-point single-lane route that begins at an intersection with Ingersoll Road before climbing out of a canyon, reaching approximately 4,100 feet before ending at an intersection with Kingsbury Road. The road is rocky and narrow, with a winding climb through the upper sections. Numerous spur roads branch off along the route, though none are open to motorized vehicles. Moses Carr Road is open year-round and requires a Discovery Pass for access.
Difficulty
Moses Carr Road is suitable for most 2WD and low-clearance vehicles, though the steep, winding climb may require careful driving. The primary challenges include a rocky surface and some mild rutting, which can create uneven conditions in places. Weather conditions such as rain can increase difficulty, particularly where the surface becomes slick. As with most trails in the area, bringing a chainsaw or equipment to clear fallen trees is recommended.
