Trail Overview

Murphy Creek is a long, unmaintained trail off Mountain Loop Highway near Darrington. The trail becomes so overgrown after about 6 miles that it would only be suited for walking. The trail itself is almost twice as long as you can complete but offers the stunning natural beauty of the Mt Baker National Forest. Once you take the left to stay on this trail, it becomes completely unmaintained. 1-2 miles in is as far as you can get before the risk of car damage and trail damage. There are no plans to maintain this trail per the Forest Service. The main trail is standard dirt and rock soil with average potholes. Mostly 2WD friendly.
