Trail Overview

Mud Creek Road is a 7.5-mile point-to-point route that begins as a wide, smooth road with occasional potholes and numerous spur trails branching off along the way. The route includes some mildly rutted sections before narrowing and transitioning into a shelf road in the upper portions, where water damage has impacted the road surface. The route is open year-round.

Difficulty

Mud Creek Road is suitable for all vehicles, as the route is generally wide, smooth, and easy to navigate. The primary challenges are minor, including occasional potholes, lightly rutted sections, and a narrow shelf road in the upper portions with mild water damage. These features may require some attention, but do not significantly impact overall difficulty. Weather conditions such as rain can increase difficulty slightly, particularly where the surface becomes slick. As with most trails in the area, bringing a chainsaw or equipment to clear fallen trees is recommended.
