Trail Overview

Turn off Tinkham Road NF-55 onto Hansen Creek NF5510 and drive ~ 3.5 miles to the Hansen Creek Loop trail head near the rock quarry. The road is gravel. Winter and Spring snow may make it impassable. The shoulders are soft, at the end of the road, there is a large quarry and space to park for the trail head, or a picnic and a campfire.

Difficulty

When snow-free, 4WD and 2WD can travel the road. Winter and Spring driving are likely to encounter snow, and sometimes impassable. A quarter-hour drive can turn into a couple of hours in the snow doing recovery up to the trailhead and returning to Tinkham Road. Soft shoulder and ditch hazards when driving too close to the edge of the road.

Easy scenic trail, a little bit of snow on the ground higher up but not much. A bit icy and slick up top though but nothing crazy. A good amount of other vehicles out today.

Super easy trail anything can make it up, beautiful view when you almost reach the end. I went up last week just never did a report

Easy dirt road nice and clear all the way up. There is a nice pull off close to the end with a great view.
