Trail Overview
FS 2352 is a 10.8-mile point-to-point gravel road that winds through the forests of Olympic National Forest. The single-lane route is open year-round and provides occasional views of the surrounding foothills through breaks in the trees. Road conditions vary throughout the route, with sections of heavy brush encroachment, significant water damage, deep rutting, and a stretch of deep loose gravel. Drivers will also encounter a narrow, steep hump that requires careful tire placement. A portion of FS 2352 forms part of the Olympic Peninsula Loop, a popular adventure motorcycle route, so watch for oncoming riders, particularly around blind corners. FS 2352 is open to highway-legal vehicles only.
Difficulty
FS 2352 is best suited for high-clearance vehicles due to deep rutting, water damage, loose gravel, and brush encroachment. Low-clearance vehicles are not recommended. While there are no major technical obstacles, the narrow roadway and deteriorated surface require careful driving, especially on the steep hump and through the deepest rutted sections. Wet weather can increase the difficulty by making the loose gravel and damaged road surface more slippery.
