Trail Overview

FS 1920 is a 10.4-mile point-to-point route through Colville National Forest. This single-lane gravel road is generally well maintained, though the surface can be rough in spots. Several shelf-road sections run alongside steep drop-offs and provide views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Farther up, the road becomes noticeably rougher, with embedded rock, a few larger ruts, and a small mudslide crossing the roadway that remains passable. FS 1920 is open seasonally to all vehicles.

Difficulty

FS 1920 is rated easy. Most of the route is relatively straightforward, but the rougher upper sections feature embedded rock, larger ruts, and a small mudslide. The shelf-road portions also have significant exposure with steep drop-offs. Wet conditions may worsen the ruts and mudslide area and reduce traction.
