Trail Overview
Frost Water is a short spur off of Frost Mountain Trail that connects to the spur trail 1366.1, which takes you to the top of Frost Mountain Lookout. This short segment of trail is about a third of a mile long and is a steady climb with minor loose rock and roots, on a semi-steep grade. It gains about 300 feet of elevation during the short route. The trail is a bit rutted and troughed during the climb, with some loose stick debris in the path from previously cut logs. There are signs at both the entrance to the trail and at the top where it points towards the Lookout, so the trail is easy to follow. This little spur trail should definitely not be missed when riding Frost Mountain, as just a short detour with a very rewarding view at the top of Frost Mountain. It makes a triangle with 1366.1, which you can take back down to connect to Trail 1366. The two spurs are very similar in terrain and difficulty, so you can take one up and the other back down.
Difficulty
This is an easy trail as it is short, but it is a steady climb. It has steep spots with minor rocks and roots, but is overall easy and in low-consequence terrain with no exposure.
