Trail Overview

This is an easier single track that has a mix of fast, flowy, and smooth trail, and a few rocky sections with loose rock and steeper grades. It is mostly gradual overall, just flowing around the hillsides and through dense forest and meadows. There are some narrow sections of side-hilling where the trail is mildly exposed, as well as a few small wooden bridges. After the trail makes a big hairpin turn and drops down to the South Fork Manastash Creek, the trail turns east at a trail sign and follows a newer single track out to Manastash Road FS 3100. It looks like the trail used to go west at this point over a bridge, but there is a large blockade of downed trees at the end of the bridge, and that section of trail does not appear to be maintained anymore, so the new route brings you to a different endpoint. The trail was cleared of any logs by early summertime.

Difficulty

This is an easier trail option because it has mostly gradual grades with only a few steep spots and is mostly just a smooth and flowy dirt trail, with only a few rocky sections. There is mild exposure in spots and segments of narrow trail, but no major ledges or obstacles.
