Trail Overview
FR Q-1000 is an easy, mellow forest road traveling through Washington state-managed land. The route consists primarily of firm hardpack dirt and passes through dense forest, with thick trees lining both sides for most of the drive. A wooden bridge provides one of the more distinctive features along the route, but there are no significant obstacles or technical sections. Numerous smaller forest roads and spur trails branch from Q-1000, with gates located on several of these offshoots. The gates observed while mapping were open, but access may change. A Washington Discover Pass sign is posted near the beginning of Q-1000, so riders planning to stop, park, camp, or otherwise recreate on the surrounding state land should check current Discover Pass requirements before visiting.
Difficulty
Q-1000 consists of maintained hardpack with no significant rocks, ruts, ledges, water crossings, steep grades, or other technical obstacles. The wooden bridge is straightforward to cross and does not increase the technical difficulty.
