Trail Overview
RY-1200 is an easy forest road traveling through Washington DNR-managed land. The road is open to street-legal vehicles, including plated motorcycles. The surface consists primarily of firm hardpack dirt and is slightly overgrown in places but remains full vehicle width and easy to follow. There are few turns and no significant technical obstacles. Several spur roads branch from both sides, with some eventually becoming too overgrown to continue. A gate is located near the beginning and was open when this trail was mapped, but access may change. Toward the end, vegetation becomes increasingly dense until the road is completely overgrown and further passage is no longer possible.
Difficulty
This is an old full-width forest road that has become increasingly overgrown. The underlying surface is relatively smooth hardpack with no significant rocks, ruts, ledges, or other technical obstacles. Vegetation encroaches heavily on the roadway and eventually becomes dense enough to prevent further travel. The primary challenge is overgrowth and limited clearance rather than technical terrain.
