Trail Overview
This forest road has sections of dirt and gravel. Starting from Cooper Mountain Road, you will descend nearly 3,200 feet in elevation. There are areas that are very steep with a 13% pitch. The road is wide enough for 2 vehicles to pass most of the way, but there are many switchbacks with ledges and drop-offs. You will have views of the surrounding peaks, as well as forest views along the way in some old burn areas and live green areas. There is a nice split-off trail that leads you to the radio towers atop Goat Mountain that is worth checking out. Cell phone service was decent along the trail, but there are no amenities. You are at least 45 minutes from the nearest supplies and services, so travel prepared. Any vehicle type could traverse this trail.

Gravel-based forest road that transitions to dirt-based. The road has washboard and a steady incline as it climbs approximately 3,200 feet in elevation. Any vehicle type should be able to traverse this trail with no issue.
