Trail Overview

Starts as a Vermont Farm gravel road, then transitions to a standard class 4 road with some small obstacles. You will pass some abandoned homes and a lot of maple sugaring equipment. best to avoid this trail during the spring sugaring season. At the halfway point, the road will narrow, and you will come to a log landing. Past the log landing is a narrow, much older, and less-used trail that will exit into a field with horses. Then transition to country dirt roads for the descent. This trail doesn't see a lot of traffic, so be aware of the farms along it.

Tried going across today from Starks oroh side towards Hanksville and made it most of the way, but had to turn back about half a mile past the top. The trail became impossible for my stock Crosstrek to manage. There is a section of water bars that were too narrow and steep to get my little right through. A higher lift on a jeep or truck would get through fine however. Over all a great time was had and would love to take the trail from the other end next to see more of it.
