Trail Overview
Larkspur is a short spur ATV trail off of the Broadhead ATV Loop. It climbs up a rocky trail on a mostly gradual slope, gaining about 200 feet of elevation over .6 miles, and ends at a big pile of lumber. The trail is constantly covered in small embedded rock surfaces and loose rocks, making it a slow and bumpy ride. The loose baby heads can really ping you around. It gets slightly steeper as it goes north, ascending through the pine trees with short climbing sections and sweeping hairpin corners. Midway through, and at the top, there is a pig pile of old logging lumber. This trail is just an extra bit of mileage to check out when riding the Broadhead Loop, on similar rocky terrain.
Difficulty
This is an easy ATV trail despite a bit of climbing through rocky terrain. The trail is constantly covered in small loose rocks and embedded rock surfaces, but does not have any major obstacles or ledges, keeping it approachable for less experienced riders. It is mostly wide and gradual.
