Hells Canyon - FS 10227

This trail branches off Yellowstone Loop and travels up the canyon to the Center Park Trailhead. This trail is a well-maintained dirt road that has no obstacles and stays two vehicles wide throughout the whole trail. For most of this trail, it is down at the bottom of a canyon, and there are not many dispersed camping spots until you get closer to the top or on the lower half before you enter the canyon. There are also some good viewpoints lower down along the trail where it follows a ridge for a short distance. This trail is open to all vehicles and has no set seasonal closure date, but will be impassable during the winter and spring due to deep snow at higher elevations.
