Upper Yellowstone - FS 10124

This trail splits off from Yellowstone Loop and heads north, following Yellowstone River up the canyon to Swift Creek Trailhead. This trail is a well-maintained gravel road that has no obstacles, although it does have some sections of washboard on the trail. This trail will pass by multiple Forest Service campgrounds along the river as well as a handful of short spurs, with some providing river access and others providing dispersed camping. This trail is open to highway-legal vehicles only and has no seasonal closure date, but may be inaccessible during the winter and early spring due to deep snow accumulation.
