Trail Overview

Deer creek trail is a really cool trail that you can start just off of the west side of highway 89 between Big Rock Candy mountain and Marysvale Utah or off of the Paiute trail by the deer creek guard station. It is a easy to intermediate trail. There are a couple of climbs that are a little steep and some loose rock in sections of the trail. Some portions of it are tough to pull to the side of you meet oncoming traffic. The trail is very scenic and fun. There are a couple of creek crossings and a old west town to stop and check out.

Difficulty

This is NOT a 60" trail as the description suggests. It is PLENTY wide for a full-width vehicle. Any "real" Jeep would do just fine on it. Very scenic, easy trail with a number of water crossings that are maybe 4-6 inches deep.

Nice trail. Was fully open as of this date. Can see where it was obviously used as a fire line during the 2024 fire. One side heavily burned in areas while other side clear. Trail is well described, and a great ride. Numerous little water crossings. Can see where it may get a bit slimy after a rain. We ran from top down, lots of runoff in the creek so it was miles of seeing cascading water beside us. Thanks!!

In accordance with Order Number: 0408-24-05 the U.S. Forest Service Fishlake National Forest Beaver Ranger District has updated the road closures for the area impacted by the Silver King Fire. All road and trails within the mapped boundary are closed through December 31st 2024 unless rescinded. This includes featured and non-featured roads and trails.
