Sierra Chino

Sierra Chino is a short backcountry dead-end route off River Road in Big Bend National Park that travels through remote desert terrain near the Rio Grande. The road surface is primarily gravel and is generally easy to navigate in dry conditions, offering a quick side trip for travelers exploring the River Road area. While there are no designated backcountry campsites along the route, the trail provides access to the ruins of an old homestead, offering a glimpse into the area's past. The road ends near the Rio Grande and requires returning the same way you entered.
