Trail Overview

This is a nice easy-to-navigate trail in the Big Frog Mountain Wilderness, part of the Cherokee National Forest. The trail is fairly well-maintained so it should be accessible to almost any vehicle. Several areas along the trail have great views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. There are many places to pull off to disperse camp along the trail with some of those spots being next to creeks. There's spotty cell service (Verizon) with the best service being at higher elevations on the trail. The trail has many spurs and other trails to explore. This trail is part of the Georgia Traverse trail which is a bunch of trails that are strung together to make up a large, mostly offroad, drive across Georgia.

Rough Creek bridge is completely blockaded with concrete barriers now. There are no passable crossings on either side of the bridge. Drove up from Tumbling Creek so had to go back the same route.

Bridge washed out. Passible if you got that dog in you. Most will need to find another route.
