Hicks Gap Road

Hicks Gap Road is an out-and-back spur off the main Tower Road trail on the southeast corner of Prentice Cooper. It is a partially wooded dirt trail with some elevation change, so it can be slippery after rain. All trails at Prentice Cooper are subject to seasonal and weather-related closures. Prentice Cooper State Forest is located in southeastern Tennessee in Marion County, along the scenic Tennessee River Gorge. The forest is approximately 10 miles west of Chattanooga and is a popular destination for visitors.
