Trail Overview

Austin Hollow is an exciting, short spur trail designed for intermediate offroaders looking to test their vehicles against wet, muddy terrain on their way to a beautiful waterfall. Branching off Hitchcock Lane near the Rainbow Falls Loop, this route spans just over a half-mile and descends roughly 40 feet through a forested hollow. With a technical rating of 5, the route is defined by multiple active water crossings and deep, hard-bottom mud holes. High-clearance four-wheel-drive vehicles or capable OHVs are highly recommended to confidently clear these obstacles and handle the muddy surface. The trail culminates directly at the base of the scenic Rainbow Falls waterfall.
