Trail Overview

Wild Cat Rock Trail is a short, rocky spur ideal for adventurous offroaders looking to explore a historical curiosity nestled deep within the Pennsylvania backcountry. Branching off Lost Run Road near the Lost Reactor Trail, this brief 0.38-mile in-and-out route carries a technical rating of 3 due to its consistently rocky power line corridor. High-clearance four-wheel-drive vehicles and SxSs will find the short trek manageable but bumpy as they navigate the uneven terrain towards the eastern terminus. The route features minimal elevation change, shifting only about 65 feet over its length, making it a quick detour rather than a primary destination. At the end of the motorized trail, a short foot path leads to the Quehanna Trail where hikers are frequently encountered. A brief walk to the left reveals Wild Cat Rock, a large boulder topped with an unusual, hand-built masonry marker resembling a tombstone. Visitors should remain mindful of foot traffic on the intersecting hiking trail and park clear of the trail's end to avoid blocking access. This unique forest oddity is best visited during the dry summer and fall seasons when traction on the rocky surface is optimal and the surrounding foliage is at its peak.

This trail is extremely tight even for a dirt bike. It is extremely overgrown with very thick branches.
