Trail Overview
OHV 5L - A trail of Rock Run Recreation Area. OHV 5L is a designated Off-Highway Vehicle Trail and should be able to be traversed by anyone with the proper setup and skill. OHV 5L starts at Radio Road on one end and at OHV 5 on the other end. While this trail is less than 300 feet in length, it changes over 50 feet in elevation. At the start of the trail, there are a few loose rocks where you begin your climb before encountering a decision to either take trail OHV 5L or OHV 5R based on obstacles. You will encounter one rock approximately 18 inches in height on the right side of your vehicle with a tree on the left. As you travel up the hill, you will then encounter loose rocks and some larger embedded rocks, which are offset from each other, creating a small shelf. These rocks are between 2 and 3 feet in height and are in between trees, restricting any way of avoiding them. After traversing this section, the trail continues to climb in grade without any obstacle before joining trail OHV 5R again. It is one vehicle wide for the entirety and is open to any off-highway vehicles. It is recommended that you walk this section to survey the terrain before starting. This is a two-way trail and offers a different experience running it in both directions. Trail driven and documented in November 2025.
