Trail Overview

OHV 5R - A trail of Rock Run Recreation Area. OHV 5R is a designated Off-Highway Vehicle Trail and should be able to be traversed by anyone with the proper setup and skill. OHV 5R starts at OHV 5L on one end and at OHV 5 on the other end. While this trail is less than 250 feet in length, it changes over 50 feet in elevation. This is an alternate route that was established in lieu of using trail OHV 5L. At the start of the trail, there are a few loose rocks and some ruts. As you travel up the hill, you will then encounter loose rocks and some larger embedded rocks, which are offset from each other, creating a series of obstacles. These rocks are up to 2 feet in height and are in between some ruts and tree roots. After traversing this section, the trail continues to climb in grade without any obstacles before intersecting with trail OHV 5. It is one vehicle wide for the entirety and is open to any off-highway vehicles. It is recommended that you walk this section to survey the terrain before starting. This is a two-way trail and offers a different experience running it in both directions. Trail driven and documented in November 2025.
