Trail Overview
OHV 6 - A trail of Rock Run Recreation Area. OHV 6 is a designated Off-Highway Vehicle Trail and should be able to be traversed by anyone with the proper setup and skill. OHV 6 starts at OHV 5 on one end and at OHV 7 on the other end. This trail is just under 2/10ths of a mile in length and travels entirely in the woods. Part of the trail is a dirt trail, covered in leaves and pine needles with minimal obstacles, though there are some tight areas between trees. Closer to the intersection with OHV 7, there is a short, steep hill climb, which has two alternatives. One choice has one embedded rock with an approximate 2-foot height and several other smaller rocks with roots growing on them. It also has some clearance restrictions between trees. The other choice has a section of embedded rocks up to 3 feet in height, along with clearance restrictions between trees. You may encounter rutting and loose rocks in both sections. This is the former trail 8C, and you may see an original sign from the early days of Rock Run. This is one vehicle wide for the entirety and is open to any off-highway vehicles. It is recommended that you walk this section to survey the terrain before starting. This is a two-way trail and offers a different experience running it in both directions. Trail driven and documented in November 2025.
