Trail Overview

Boulder Field Road is located within Hickory Run State Park and leads you directly to the Boulder Field. The trail consists of a gravel road with potholes throughout. After rainy weather, the trail can be washed out with minor washboard roads. It can fit two vehicles and loops back to Boulder Field Run. There are restrooms and parking at the Boulder Field. Cell phone signal is strong once you arrive at the Boulder Field.

Difficulty

Boulder Field Road can be traveled with vehicles with standard clearance. The potholes throughout the trails can be driven around.

History

The Boulder Field is located at the end of the trail. Boulder Field is a National Natural Landmark and State Park Natural Area.
