Trail Overview
Wocus Bay Road is a gorgeous road that is fairly well-maintained. There are sections of ruts and larger roots, especially when accessing parking areas along the refuge. This road is generally secluded from log truck traffic; access to the refuge does increase civilian traffic. The main road composition is a dirt and sand mixture that offers plenty of traction for most 4x4 vehicles. Traveling this trail in a 2WD vehicle is not recommended, but it can be done. The trail is rather skinny and only wide enough for one vehicle, and thick bushes lining the trail may scratch paint. Beautiful views can be seen along the way, with plenty of wildlife and an excellent shot of Mount Scott in the background. There are several parking areas along the trail, one of which includes a canoeing area.

Difficulty
The trail is well-maintained and has few obstacles; there are ruts scattered throughout, as well as large roots over the trail. Narrow sections in certain spots of the trail are the main reason for this difficulty rating. This trail may be snowed over during the winter months, which will greatly increase this difficulty.
