Trail Overview

This is a dirt-based forest road that climbs up to the White Point Lookout Tower. The trail is narrow and one vehicle wide, with overgrown vegetation most of the way. There are some small ledges and a couple of mud holes, but overall this is an easy trail that is suitable for any vehicle type, but expect some pin-striping. Approximately 200 yards from the tower, there is a closed gate that you can walk around and walk to the base of the tower. You cannot see the tower from the gate, but there is still a trail/road to it beyond the gate. At this gate is the widest area of the entire trail, and although camping is allowed along this trail, it is very overgrown, and there is not much room to camp. Cell phone service was weak, and there are no amenities along the trail. The nearest fuel and supplies are in the town of Prospect, approximately 45 minutes away, so travel prepared.
