Trail Overview

This trail is a forest road that starts off with some gravel and then transitions to dirt. The trail steadily climbs over 2,300 feet in elevation over approximately 5.6 miles. The trail is mostly one lane wide with places to pass, and some areas have overgrown vegetation and tight trees. As the trail climbs, there are multiple switchbacks and some ledges, multiple mud holes, and some humps/whoops. The trail offers dense forest views as well as views of the surrounding ridges and peaks. The trail now ends short of the end of the road where there is a closed and locked gate by the Forestry Service. Overall, any vehicle type should have no issue, but 4x4 is recommended. Cell phone service was weak along the trail, and there are no amenities, so you should travel prepared. The nearest services are approximately half an hour away from the beginning of this trail.
