Trail Overview

This is a gravel-based forest road that leads you to the south shore area of Suttle Lake. There are minor ruts and wash, multiple potholes, and some washboard sections, which make for a bumpy ride, but overall this is an easy trail suitable for any vehicle type. You will enjoy views of Mt Jefferson and of Three Fingered Jack while traveling through the dense forest. There are multiple pre-existing campsites with mountain views, and camping is allowed along this entire trail. There are no amenities along the trail and weak cell phone service. Sisters, Oregon, is the nearest town with services and supplies, approximately 15 minutes from the beginning of this trail.
