Trail Overview

Trail #22 is an easy dirt bike-only trail in the Prospect OHV Trail System. It’s a simple single track that gradually descends through a dense forest of mossy hemlocks and mature western white pines. The trail is curvy and flowy with a mix of tight corners and sweeping hairpins, riding through a gradual terrain on the forest floor. Being very mild, with no exposure, it’s great for kids or new riders looking to practice single-track skills. Any recent downfall or logs were cut. The trail had one rockier section with small embedded rock faces and roots mid-way through the route, but it is not overly difficult or steep. The first .8 miles from the north end is narrow like a true single track, but the remaining section of trail headed southward is an old road open to motorcycles only. There are a couple spots where the trees closely line the trail, and you have to watch your handlebars. Expect small climbs up and down over the rolling hills, and small loose rocks in spots. It drops 500 feet in elevation from north to south over 1.4 miles.
