Trail Overview

ATV Trail #49 in the Prospect OHV Trail System is a wide two-track open to vehicles 50” or less. It starts on Trail #2 on the east end and ends on Abbott Creek Road on the west end when the designation changes to a shared-use road open to all vehicles. The road portion of #49 continues west. Overall, the ATV trail is very easy. The surface is mostly smooth dirt and gravel, with minimal technical elements except for a few shallow ruts, small bumps, and uneven ground. It gradually climbs from east to west through a forest of hemlocks and Douglas firs, gaining almost 900 feet elevation in 1.6 miles, with a mix of gradual and semi-steep terrain, but it is a fast and flowy climb. The trail is well maintained and smooth sailing for ATV riders of any skill level. The trail was clear of any downfall.
