Trail Overview
This track marks the area of the beach open to driving and riding. Signs posted at the north and south ends mark areas that are closed to motor vehicles. This track is mostly packed sand, but access to it will be over a loose sandy dune. There are multiple access paths, marked with numbered signs visible from the beach. These are: 106 - South Jetty Sand Road (1344), 107 - Goose Pasture Trail (1367), 108 - Chapmans Trail (1358), and 109 - Breach Trail (1318). Airing down is recommended for full-size 4x4s for these access points. Be aware of tide levels, as there will be little to no drivable area at high tide, depending on the height of that particular tide. An OHV permit and safety flag are required in this area.
Difficulty
The packed sand closer to the water will be easy to drive on, but vehicles can easily sink into the sand where it is too wet. The difficulty rating is based on access and egress over the beach dune. It will be a loose, sandy climb with driftwood obstacles on the beach side.
