Trail Overview
This is an alpine sandy trail with a mixture of open sections and tighter areas where overhanging trees and encroaching bushes narrow the route. The trail features a few shallow ruts and several places where you can turn around. Beyond this point, the trail receives less traffic and becomes noticeably narrower, so please be careful of pinstriping with larger vehicles. The trail eventually forms a loop, making it easy to turn around. Near the end is an old fence line and what appears to be an empty livestock trough. Although much of the fence is damaged, be aware that livestock or wildlife may still be present in the area. ATVs, UTVs, Side-by-Sides, and Dirt Bikes must always have a valid Oregon ATV Operating Permit sticker.
Difficulty
Overall, this is a scenic and enjoyable forest trail; however, tight trail sections and minor ruts require some attention, while the route remains mostly straightforward.
