This trail is a beautiful, well-maintained forest road that winds through dense pine forest and makes for an enjoyable drive for a wide range of vehicles. The route begins as a well-maintained logging road before entering the National Forest, where it continues through scenic woodland with a mixture of gentle curves and rolling terrain. The road surface is primarily smooth red gravel, and the road narrows to nearly a single lane, so drivers should remain alert for oncoming traffic around blind corners before it widens again. Numerous dispersed camping opportunities can be found just off the main trail. Overall, this is a relaxing and scenic forest drive with excellent road conditions and plenty of options for extending your adventure.
