Trail Overview
This well-maintained, scenic trail winds through an open forest before following the edge of a marshy area. The route is comfortable to drive, with a mostly smooth surface despite some rocky sections. A few potholes are present, but nothing particularly challenging. The trail passes through areas where trees appear to have been replanted, then gradually opens up onto a plateau toward the end. The scenery changes nicely between forested sections, open areas, and the marsh, making this a pleasant drive. Near the end, a large hump in the road blocks motor vehicle access, and the trail does not continue beyond this point. Be sure to stop there rather than attempting to bypass the closure. ATVs, UTVs, Side-by-Sides, and Dirt Bikes must always have a valid Oregon ATV Operating Permit sticker.
Difficulty
Overall, this is an easy and enjoyable trail with good road conditions, varied scenery, and only a few minor obstacles to watch for.
