Trail Overview
This exceptionally well-maintained gravel road is so smooth and well cared for that it can easily be mistaken for a paved road. The route winds up and over the mountain before descending again, providing a beautiful drive through the surrounding forest. The road varies between single-lane and double-lane sections, with several pullouts that let vehicles move over and allow others to pass. Although the route is generally easy to navigate, it is popular with outdoor adventurers, so watch for oncoming and other trail traffic, especially around narrower sections and curves. This trail is only accessible by Highway Legal Vehicles, so please do not take your ATVs, UTVs, Side-by-Sides, and Dirt Bikes on this route. ATVs, UTVs, Side-by-Sides, and Dirt Bikes must always have a valid Oregon ATV Operating Permit sticker.
