Trail Overview
Set within the dense evergreen forest canopy of the Mt. Hood National Forest, FS 4615140 is a quiet and secluded out-and-back single-track spur. Accessed directly off of FS 4615000, this 1.2-mile gravel route branches west into lush woodland shade. Outdoor enthusiasts and campers travel this secluded path to reach peaceful, private dispersed campsites tucked away from busier main forest thoroughfares. The driving surface consists of a flat gravel single-track with virtually no elevation change, earning an easy Grade 1 difficulty rating. Right from the junction, thick evergreen foliage closes in around the pathway, creating a narrow tunnel of overhanging branches and dense side brush. Near the end of the route, a cozy dispersed campsite large enough for a single setup sits tucked off to the left. The track dead-ends shortly thereafter at a tranquil, private campsite clearing surrounded by dense timber.

Earning an accessible Grade 1 difficulty rating, this 1.2-mile flat gravel spur is completely free of ground obstacles, steep gradients, deep ruts, or clearance-testing rocks. The primary consideration along the drive is overhead and side clearance, as overgrown evergreen branches and leaning saplings squeeze tightly against the corridor. Drivers should proceed at a slow speed, stay centered on the gravel track, and be prepared for brush to make contact with vehicle sides during travel.
