Trail Overview

This maintained road provides access to the Tumalo Falls Trailhead and the North Fork, South Fork, and Farewell Trails. The road is heavily traveled and can be busy, particularly near the river, with numerous pull-offs along the route. The river is a popular fly-fishing spot, and the drive offers beautiful views throughout. Because of traffic, the road surface is heavily corrugated in many sections, so expect a rougher ride despite the road being generally well maintained. Use caution around other vehicles, especially near pullouts and areas where visitors access the river and nearby trails. ATVs, UTVs, Side-by-Sides, and Dirt Bikes must always have a valid Oregon ATV Operating Permit sticker.
