This somewhat tight alpine road connects to Lookout Mountain Road and is generally easy to navigate. The route is mostly gravel, although sections affected by water erosion have become somewhat sandy and rocky. There are also a few minor ruts, but no major obstacles. Several trees have been cleared from the roadway, and nothing significant is currently blocking the travel path. The road is wide enough for full-size vehicles, although bushes encroach onto the edges in many places. Larger rigs should be prepared for close vegetation contact and possible scratching through the tighter sections. A few areas may also allow you to pull off and camp, but these are limited. ATVs, UTVs, Side-by-Sides, and Dirt Bikes must always have a valid Oregon ATV Operating Permit sticker.
