Trail Overview

This is a short but beautiful trail with a sandy, dusty surface. Several downed trees along the trail have been cleared, and if approaching from the north, the trail passes through a designated firewood-cutting area. As the trail climbs, it becomes rockier in places. Engaging four-wheel drive or low range is recommended, particularly in wet conditions, as the sandy surface is likely to become muddy during the winter months. There are one or two potential dispersed camping spots, although they are not particularly level. The area has a large population of ground squirrels, so if you plan to camp, it is worth checking your engine bay before departing.
