Trail Overview

This trail, despite its numbered designation, does not appear to be heavily traveled and is overgrown through much of its length. When entering from the east side, the route begins with a red gravel surface that is not actively maintained but remains reasonably passable for full-size 4x4s. This section is relatively open compared with the rest of the trail, although some vegetation is beginning to encroach on the roadway. After the intersection with FS 4070500, the conditions change significantly. The trail becomes much tighter, with numerous fallen trees, debris, bushes, and other vegetation narrowing the available travel path. It is still possible to continue through this section, but the increased overgrowth and obstacles make it considerably more difficult for larger vehicles due to pinstriping. ATVs, UTVs, Side-by-Sides, and Dirt Bikes must always have a valid Oregon ATV Operating Permit sticker.
