Trail Overview
This well-maintained forest road passes through an active logging area, so drivers should remain alert for logging trucks, heavy equipment, and other work vehicles that may be using the route. The road gradually climbs through dense forest before reaching higher elevations, where the trees become more widely spaced, and the landscape opens up. The surface is generally in good condition and appears to receive regular traffic, making for an easy and enjoyable drive. Along the route is a large open area that could be suitable for dispersed camping, although it appears to be used frequently by logging crews and may be occupied by equipment or trailers during active operations. Overall, this is a scenic and straightforward forest road with changing scenery as it climbs into the mountains. ATVs, UTVs, Side-by-Sides, and Dirt Bikes must always have a valid Oregon ATV Operating Permit sticker.
